About Ethos Towing Services
Ethos Towing Services Inc is a family-owned and operated towing company based in San Jose, California. We started the company in 2025, but the work behind it isn't new — there are ten years of towing experience driving it. We answer our own phone, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
What family-owned actually means here
It means the person who picks up the phone has a stake in how the job goes. There's no call centre between you and the truck, no dispatcher reading from a script, and no affiliate network quietly selling your call to whoever bids highest.

What we run
We operate a flatbed and a wrecker out of a staffed location at 2050 McKee Rd #135 in San Jose.
The flatbed handles most of what people call us for — sedans, SUVs, light trucks, AWD vehicles, EVs, and anything low-clearance or not running. All four wheels come off the road, which is why it's the right choice for anything you'd rather not add damage to.
The wrecker covers what a flatbed can't reach: tight underground garages, low-clearance parking structures, and recoveries where there isn't room to position a deck.
Between them we cover the light and medium duty range — passenger vehicles up through cargo vans, Sprinters, small box trucks, shuttle vans and dual-rear-wheel pickups.

Why we confirm before we roll
Most towing complaints come down to one of two things: the number quoted on the phone wasn't the number at the drop-off, or the truck that turned up couldn't do the job.
We work the other way round. When you call, we ask what you're driving, roughly what it weighs, whether it rolls and steers, and exactly where it's sitting. Then we confirm fit, price and ETA on the phone — before anything is dispatched.
That costs an extra minute at the start. It saves the wrong truck arriving, and it means the figure you hear is the figure you pay.
Flatbed towing starts at $89 hook-up plus $4.25 per towed mile. Roadside services start at $59. The final number is always confirmed by phone first.
What we don't do
We're a light and medium duty operator. We don't handle tractor-trailers, buses or heavy commercial recovery — that needs a dedicated heavy-duty company with equipment we don't run.
If you call with a job outside our range, we'll tell you on the phone rather than send a truck that can't do it. You've already had a bad enough day without waiting an hour for the wrong answer.
Where we work
We're based in San Jose and cover the surrounding area: Santa Clara, Milpitas, Sunnyvale, Campbell, Cupertino, Los Gatos and Morgan Hill — along with San Jose neighbourhoods including Evergreen, Berryessa, East San Jose, Alum Rock and Willow Glen.
